Just Be Held was established by Kriti C Lal. We provide a safe and supportive space to help you work through your feelings, deal with hurdles, and find your inner calm.

We incorporate evidence-informed professional methods with genuine care and understanding. We are here to provide you with support, care and the safety to feel heard, and empowered, when you are struggling with anxiety, depression, intimate relationships, trauma, etc. or simply when you need to talk with someone.

Our objective at Just Be Held is to provide a warm, non-judgmental and welcoming atmosphere for healing, self-awareness, and emotional wellness to those we serve. We want to help individuals navigate life’s barriers to mental wellness by removing the stigma often associated with an individual seeking help with mental health, and through evidence-based, empathetic and tailor-made mental health counseling services help individuals find hope again.

What issues can therapy help me work through?

Therapy can support you in dealing with a variety of challenges you may be experiencing including but not limited to: anxiety; depression; stress; grief; trauma; relationship conflict; low self-esteem; etc. It can also be a space to explore personal growth and self-discovery, not just crisis support.

How can I know what therapist is the right fit for me?

At Just Be Held, we match you with a counsellor whose expertise most closely matches your needs. You can talk about your preference(s) to your therapist, such as style of communication or area of specialization. We want you to feel comfortable, understood and supported.

Are my therapy sessions confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core of our practice. Anything you share with your therapist will be kept between the two of you, unless there are safety or legal reasons that require us to disclose.

How long will it take before I see progress in therapy?

Some clients may notice a couple of changes in a few sessions; some may attend therapy long-term to improve self-healing and improve personal growth.

Do you offer online or weekend sessions?

Yes, we offer both online or weekend sessions to meet your individual needs. With our online sessions we can provide consistent care anywhere you are located regardless of session time.

What is the age limit to enroll?

Our program is open to all age groups, as long as you’re eager to learn.
